Project Overview
My areas of focus during this internship were strategy, thought leadership, and
diversity, equity, and inclusion. My supervisors wanted me to complete a project that encompassed these areas with a topic I was passionate about, understanding that my final deliverable would include recommendations applicable to some of Starcom’s clients' lines of business. I decided to research and present on the history of discriminatory product development and advertising within cosmetics. I then recommended best practices for inclusive product/service development and campaign strategy/messaging which were applicable for Starcom’s clients in the consumer packaged goods industry.
